Lead Frontend Engineer

AI Technologies Co. is a Miami-based company building financial market platforms including forex and trading analytics. I took ownership of Market Memo, a trading journal platform previously managed by an external engineering vendor costing $25k/month. I led the full migration to internal management, completed the transition in six months, and eliminated the outsourced cost while improving platform reliability and observability.

Platform & observability

Frontend built with Vue and Vuex; improved structure, UI consistency, and engineering reliability.
Introduced Sentry for error monitoring and Grafana for application and infrastructure logs.
Implemented Jest testing across the frontend codebase and established automated testing.

UI rebrand & product

Led a full UI rebrand in ~1.5 months, rebuilding 16+ application flows with improved accessibility and SEO.
Automated KYC verification for affiliate enrollment and payouts; onboarding time from 3 days to 1 day.
Launched guided onboarding and free trial program; registration conversion from 36% to 48% in 3 months.

Retention & recovery

Built retention automations through transactional email flows targeting failed payments and cancellations.
Reduced cancellations from 59% to 34%; improved payment recovery from 3% to 9%.

Process & scale

Introduced Scrum ceremonies, Slack standups, biweekly leadership reviews, 1:1s, and pair programming.
Contributing to expansion of an internal financial dashboard from 1 company to 5+ across the organization.
Supporting early architecture of a trading competition platform: trading engine (market data, charts, execution, slippage) and application layer (auth, billing, business logic).
